Troubleshooting
Study Companion cannot find captions
Open the lecture's captions or transcript panel, then select Retry. If the recording has no usable captions, ask the course team for captions or use another supported source.
A guide is still processing
Keep the lecture page open and select refresh in Study Companion. Synlecto checks for the same saved guide before it offers to create another one.
The side panel is missing or out of date
Refresh the lecture tab, reopen Study Companion from the toolbar, and confirm the extension is enabled on your browser's extensions page.
What counts as study activity?
Insights counts completed flashcard reviews, mission answers, quiz answers and concept matches. Opening a guide can appear separately as guide activity, but it is not added to the practice-action total.
Source confidence
Guide quality labels
Labels describe the source coverage found by Synlecto's automated checks. They are not lecturer verification, so keep the lecture and course materials as the authority.
- Checked
- Passed current source-support checks.
- Partial
- Useful, but some lecture coverage may be missing.
- Limited source
- Use extra care and return to the original source.
