Synlecto pairs with Study Companion to turn lectures into proof reps. Install on Chrome or Edge to get started. We recommend the right store automatically.
Start in your VLE
- Open your lecture in your VLE.
- Pick the toughest topic first.
- Keep the lecture open in the background.
Open Study Companion
- Click the Study Companion extension.
- Open the sidebar.
- Make sure the transcript panel is visible.
Generate your guide
- Click Generate when the transcript is ready.
- Wait a moment while the guide builds.
- Return to Synlecto to practice.

How Due now works
Due now is your daily proof list across all guides, based on your ratings. Short reps keep the load light and confidence high.
- To increase load, rate more cards and finish a full session.
- To reduce load, do a few cards daily and let spacing do the work.
What counts as activity
Synlecto counts flashcards, missions, quizzes, and matches as proof reps. Opening a guide sets direction, but retrieval builds mastery.
Troubleshooting
Extension not detected
Install from Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons, then make sure it is enabled for this site.
Sidebar not showing
Refresh the page, then reopen Study Companion. Make sure the extension is enabled for this site.
Transcript needed message
Open the transcript or captions panel in the player, then click Retry in the sidebar.
Transcript unavailable
If the lecture has no transcript, ask your instructor or try again once one is available.
