Can I take a lecture transcript to Gemini Notebook or NotebookLM?

Yes. Gemini Notebook is the current name for Google’s NotebookLM. Open Create in Study Companion, choose Use Gemini Notebook and select Copy transcript. Open Notebook, create or open a notebook, choose Add sources then Copied text, paste and select Insert. The illustrated steps guide you through this manual handoff. Try two different lectures as a guest on this installation, then sign in or create a free Synlecto account to continue. Available captions, your recording access and a Google account are required. Synlecto’s own guide keeps concept exploration, active recall and later review together.

Where does the Study Companion appear?

It opens as a browser side panel beside supported lecture material. The narrow mode rail stays on the right, matching the real extension layout.

Which study modes are available?

The main student route includes Guide, Recall, Missions, Quiz, Studio and Ask. The interactive hero demonstrates the clearest first study loop, while the homepage explores Studio as the learner-owned workspace.

Can I use it without a Panopto recording?

Yes. The companion can support other lecture-video, course-page, file and text workflows when usable source material is available.

Does it write assignments for students?

No. Synlecto is designed for revision support: reading, recall, short practice and return to source—not assignment-ready prose.
