Canvas workflow

Study from Canvas without losing the module context

Begin on the familiar module page. Synlecto keeps the lecture, instructions and Canvas navigation visible while a focused guide and active practice open alongside them.

01

Begin inside the module

Students do not need a separate blank workspace before they can start making sense of the lecture.

02

Keep course context visible

The module page and lecture source remain the reference while the study route opens beside them.

03

Carry the route forward

Saved guides and review actions can continue in Synlecto after the student leaves the Canvas page.

How it fits together

One source. A clear study route.

Guide first, recall next, revisit later—with source return available when detail matters.
  1. 1

    Open the module material

Start from the Canvas module, assignment-supporting resource or embedded lecture page you already use.

  2. 2

    Connect the lecture source

Let the Study Companion use the available lecture video, transcript, captions or supported source text.

  3. 3

    Choose the next study action

Read the guide for structure, retrieve an idea with recall cards, complete a short source-return mission or check understanding with an optional quiz.

  4. 4

    Continue outside Canvas

Open the saved guide in Synlecto to continue recall, review due material or organise the lecture in a study route.

Source-grounded study support

A study layer beside Canvas, not a replacement for it.

Canvas and university references are compatibility context only. Lecturer instructions, official module material and the learner’s judgement stay in charge.

FAQ

Useful answers before you begin.

Is Synlecto built into Canvas?

Synlecto uses a browser Study Companion beside supported Canvas lecture workflows. Canvas references describe compatibility context and do not imply an official integration, approval or partnership.

Can it read every Canvas page?

No. Useful output depends on accessible lecture video, transcript, captions, uploaded material or source text. When source coverage is limited, Synlecto should show that limit.

Does the companion replace the module page?

No. Canvas, lecturer instructions and official course materials remain the authority. Synlecto adds a revision route alongside them.

Can university teams review this workflow?

Yes. The university-readiness route sets out the accessibility, privacy, source-boundary and support questions for a controlled review.
