Three simple steps

Turn an open lecture into a study route

Start from the lecture you intend to study. Synlecto stays beside the source, creates your guide and keeps it in your personal Library.

Requires desktop Chrome or Edge.

Start with one lecture

Create your first study guide

  1. Install and pin Study Companion

Use Chrome or Edge on a desktop or laptop. Add the extension, then pin it from the browser extensions menu so it stays easy to find.

  2. Sign in to the same Synlecto account

Open Study Companion from the toolbar and sign in. Use the same account that you use for this Synlecto library.

  3. Open a recorded lecture

Open a supported Panopto, YouTube, Vimeo or lecture page. Recordings embedded in Canvas remain supported; Synlecto never asks for your university password.

  4. Open Synlecto

Choose the Synlecto toolbar button to open Study Companion beside the lecture. The current page is checked automatically.

  5. Create your guide

Choose Create my guide. The completed guide is saved to your Library, ready for Guide, Recall and Revisit.
